New Book from Lithuania
Gintautas Deksnys notified us of the publication of his new book, Prakalbinti Knygu Skirtukai (Talking Book Tabs)! The photo of the book shows a specially created bookmark (author Rasa Homenn from Germany) in the background. The slogan of this book is: "When little ones grow up. The enchanting story of bookmarks". Gintautas is making the book available to libraries and friends, and will be giving presentations and exhibits based on the book during 2025. Here is one of the reviews: "It is one thing to collect bookmarks, accumulate them perhaps by the hundreds and put them neatly in drawers, and another to give them a new life, perhaps a new meaning. Of course, this requires not only extensive reading, but also great cultural knowledge. Having known the author of this publication for many years and seeing his intelligence and ability to delve into various cultural phenomena, I see the great meaning of this activity and understand that this collection will only grow and deepen". Congratulations, Gintautas! |
